**----Movie review----**

“American History X” - Me First, Then You
 By: Bryan Israel García Rodriguez

Would you be able to sacrifice your own blood for your belief?

In my opinion, everyone should see this movie because it contains a great message. It is very interesting, as we can see through this movie that it is valuable to any member of our family. The plot of the movie as well as its development and the cast are very good for what has become my favorite movie.

Daniel Vinyard, the youngest son of the family Vinyard, has an important role because of the incarceration of his older brother Derek Vinyard, who was imprisoned for defending his beliefs about white power that is, the power of neo-Nazi gangs. He kill a black person by breaking his jaw with the edge of the curb and stomping on his head. While being locked up, Derek joined the group of Nazis, too but decided not to accept certain actions, to be alone and not to belong to any gang, which led him to be raped while in the prison showers.

Edward Norton acting in this movie was excellent; although it is a big responsibility he could develop a very professional manner. I do not think anyone could have played better the role of this Nazi like Edward Norton performed.

As a conclusion of this movie, I can say that I learned too much from this film because the time it shows I was going through a similar situation idolizing a person's ideology and being part of it. I learned to fight for my family first and then the rest.
